Before me lies a blank page. A page full of possibilities. Roots that grow further from their own roots, away from the concepts that birthed them. As the piece trickles through time the possibilities that were once displayed, finally collapse into one linear flow that is...
This Moment
Spray Moby exists right here and right now. It morphs through time, and travels through the geography of the United States. The van the grows with time. A van that evolves. A van unlike any other before. Spray Moby is an art project at its core. Moby exists out of necessity. From the first angry brush strokes thrown on the canvas late October 31, 2025, to the current spray from today. Moby holds the work of many artists. Artists that created because they felt organically compelled to.
Artists that saw the free wall before them and chose to contribute. Artists that acknowledge that even though their works will get covered up soon, that they still want to give it a go and put their art out there. How similar to a metaphor of life too. We all soon will wash away, back to the pieces we once were and will be again. We belong to the rip tide of the universe. Moby... Moby belongs to the rip tide of earth, and artists who have things to say. Moby showcases artists and the reflections of their inner lived world.
Bothered Creation
There's a concept I made up a while back called "Bothered Creation." In the sense, it represents a creation that violently surfaced because it had to depart the mind of the creator, for their own sanity. I see unbothered creation as meaningless slop. Something composed with no soul, a creation that was paid for to be forgotten about. Moby is the exact opposite of unbothered creation. Moby is absolutely a bothered creation, in each brush stroke that came off the canvas, I do believe that each brush was filled with intention.
A sense of movement approaches everything on the canvas of Moby. Both in the literal sense (Yes, it is a moving van that still runs), and in the sense that nothing is truly permanent on Moby. The free wall exists to be written over and over and over again. Moby is metamorphic by nature. With complete respect to prior writers, Moby exists as a funnel between artists with a creation bothering them to come out, and a world that wants to lie witness to the incredible work the artist may do.
I Strongly Believe.
I strongly believe there is a community of writers that need a place to express themselves freely, in a way that actually matters, that can propagate to the whole world. This is Spray Moby. Take a picture.
